What a great day in Berkley...
Saturday, June 13th started off a bit gloomy but it turned into an awesome day! The weather was perfect for strolling the 8th Annual Berkley Art Bash. Several thousand people came to downtown Berkley to enjoy fabulous handmade art, entertainment by a variety of bands, delicious food, like hotdogs served from a vintage firetruck, and of lot's of extras, including sidewalk sales, Berkley firetruck tours, kids entertainment, student artists, Linda's DanceWorks dancers, and a free bike valet sponsored by the Berkley Environmental Committee. Thank you to all who joined us. We hope you had as much fun as we did and enjoyed a fun-filled day in downtown Berkley.
We would like to thank those that helped us to make this day a success. We couldn't do it without the following folks:
Our Sponsors: catching fireflies, Amici's Pizza & Living Room, Oxford Park Towers, American Laser Centers, WOW Cable, The Daily Tribune, Dynamic Chiropractor.
City of Berkley:
Department of Public Works for ensuring the cleanliness of 12 Mile Rd. and the safety of our patrons;
Department of Public Safety for their all day presence at the Art Bash, and for providing the firetruck and ambulance for the community to enjoy;
City Council for welcoming the Art Bash with open arms for the 8th year, allowing us to close 12 Mile Road, and supporting the 12 Mile businesses in their sidewalk sales.
The Coffee Beanery Cafe for providing delicious coffee to all of our artists and vendors.
Our Volunteers that helped set up and close down the fair, guided artists into the fair, staffed the chamber tent, and took down signs on Woodward and Coolidge;
It was a great day for Berkley! The Berkley Chamber of Commerce thanks each and every business who welcomed the art fair patrons and helped Berkley shine that day. We could not do this alone and appreciated each person and business’ efforts.
We look forward to seeing you again next year for the 9th Annual Art Bash.
