The Berkley Holiday parade committee did it again! The 4th Annual Hometown Holiday Lights Parade was a huge success and the day's events were enjoyed by many. It certainly was a festive day with all the snow! Residents and visitors to Berkley enjoyed carriage rides, a petting zoo, and of course a parade full of bands, floats, community groups, and...Santa Clause.
Over 100 people enjoyed free trolley rides complete with a free raffle and caroling through downtown Berkley prior to the parade. Thank you to our Trolley Sponsors: Catching Fireflies, ...Have you any Wool?, and National City. Thanks also goes out to the businesses that provided gift certificates for our trolley raffle: Bagger Dave's, Edible Arrangements, Evolutions, Hungry Howies, Kopy Katz, Odd Fellow Antiques, Salon Miracles, and The Lunch Cafe.
Riders were entertained by our delightful Brownies, Rogers 2nd Grade Troop #2426. They were so cute with their matching Santa hats and their delightful carols. We were also pleased to have the Rogers Rockettes join us again this year. For those that don't know, The Rogers Rockettes are a group of teachers from Rogers Elementary that have formed a singing group. They are fabulous! They entertained the crowd on the trolley and at the gazebo while waiting for Santa Claus.
It was a wonderful day!!
