On August 25th 135 people joined us in downtown Berkley for our Annual Pub Crawl. The date was moved from October to August this year and it turned out to be a perfect night on the town! The evening began at Amici's and finished on the rooftop of 24 Seconds.
Crawlers also enjoyed the new patio at Bagger Dave's, the Blarney Stone Pub, and O'Mara's. Each venue treated crawlers to appetizers and featured drink specials and all participants received a Pub Crawl T and a raffle entry for some wonderful prizes.

Our 1st Annual Michigan Property Managers Challenge Cup was a huge success and I think all golfers will agree that it was a great way to play golf. The Ryder Cup style golf tournament was designed for all skill levels in mind. Each golfer enjoyed 18 holes of golf while trying to earn points for their team of 8 players. The BIG prize was the Challenge Cup and bragging rights for the RED team...Greg Adamczyk, Jim Aras, John Barbusak, Brian Bonsall, Scott Bonsall, Trevor Brunckhorst, Barry Charlip, Karen Laub, and Keith Logsdon.
If you weren't able to join us this year mark your calendar for next September for our 2nd Annual Challenge Cup. We hope to have even more golfers join us next year.

The 2011 City of Berkley Holiday Lights Parade will take place on Saturday, December 3rd. A committee of volunteers is diligently working to bring this event to our City. In previous years, daytime activities have included shopping, a free trolley, a petting zoo, carriage ride, and caroling. We (the Berkley Chamber) would like to support the committee as well as the Berkley businesses. We are seeking suggestions on ways we can participate in this annual hometown event. Our goal is to generate exposure and commerce to Berkley. The Observer & Eccentric Newspapers and Hometown Weeklies 3rd Annual Senior Fall Health and Living Expo at Wayne State University Oakland Center in Farmington Hills
The Observer & Eccentric and Hometown Newspapers presents the 3rd Annual Fall Senior Health and Living Expo from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Wayne State University Oakland Center in Farmington Hills. Admission is free.
The event features more than 30 exhibitors, health screenings, speakers, demonstrations and entertainment. Free refreshments will be available in the morning. A free trolley service is available for senior pick-up and drop off at several area senior centers. Free parking is also available for those attending the event. Special gift giveaways are planned every hour throughout the event.
A special section featuring speaker and exhibitor information about the Fall Senior Health and Living Expo will be inserted into all Observer and Hometown Newspapers on Thursday, September 29th and in all Eccentric Newspapers on Sunday, October 2nd. The supplement will feature senior focused interests as well as list all of the exhibitors and demonstrations scheduled for the day.
